Ms. Briga Hynes

Small Firms Research Unit, University of Limerick

Briga is a lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the University of Limerick where she teaches in Small Business Management, Business Strategy, New Venture Marketing and Business Consulting. She is also Course Director for the Bachelor of Business Studies Degree Programmes at the University of Limerick. Prior to this Briga was Manager for the Marketing Centre for Small Business and is currently a Director of this Centre.

Briga is also involved in a number of outreach activities in the Mid West Region which involves the design and delivery of training and mentoring programmes for owner/managers and the provision of advice and consultancy on marketing and the management of business growth. She is also a Board Member of Limerick City Enterprise Board and Southill Advisory Management Group.

Briga's primary area of research focuses on Growth and Strategy Development in the Small Firm, Enterprise Education and Female Entrepreneurship. She has presented her research findings at numerous Conferences and has also published in Irish and International Journals and books.
